Secondary Transfer

At the end of Year 6 all children will move on to Secondary School. There are lots of different choices, including Local Authority maintained schools (selective and non-selective) and private schools.

Applications for secondary transfer need to be made by October in Year 6, although we recommend that you start visiting schools at the beginning of Year 5 in order to get an idea of what will be right for your child. All Secondary Schools have Open Days or Open Evenings, normally held late in September or early in October. Details will be found on each school websites.
