Classes
St Matthew’s has 210 places from Reception to Year 6 and 52 places in the Nursery, which has its session in the morning.
We are a single form entry school and all our classes are mixed ability; we value the abilities and achievements of all our children and strive to provide the best possible learning environment for each of them.
The school welcomes children from all faiths and nationalities as well as those with a range of special educational needs. The school is on a level site on one floor with ramps at the main entrance. All classrooms have doors which lead directly onto the playground and can be entered without steps. One toilet has been specially equipped for pupils with physical disabilities. As far as possible, the school ensures that pupils with disabilities have access to the same opportunities as other pupils.
